The Challenge

The client, a university professor, had an existing academic profile provided by the university that was text-heavy, difficult to navigate, and visually unappealing. It functioned more like a digital "filing cabinet" than a professional landing page. The goal was to create a new, modern website that would serve as an engaging professional hub, clearly present research and publications, and act as a recruitment tool for prospective students.

My Solution

I designed and developed a new static website from the ground up, focusing on a clean, user-centric, and professional layout. The redesign introduced a clear visual hierarchy, ample whitespace, and a professional headshot to build personal connection.

A key feature was replacing the static, hard-to-read list of publications with a dynamic, filterable list. I also integrated an interactive "Student Research Idea Generator" tool using the Gemini API. This tool allows prospective students to select research topics and receive AI-generated project ideas, turning a passive browsing experience into an active, engaging recruitment funnel.
